Athletics 18-19

For use in 2019 Student Fee Survey!

At UMBC the Athletics and Recreation fee is used to fund both intercollegiate athletics and recreation.  This fee encompasses 40 different departments including intercollegiate athletics, open facilities usage, recreation (club sports, intramurals, fitness programs and machinery) as well as athletic scholarships. The proposed increase to the Athletics and Recreation budget will primarily go toward increasing staff salaries and fringe benefits, RAC operating expenses, athletic scholarships (which must increase along with tuition each year), and team travel expenses.

For full-time undergraduates: The fee is currently $1,152 per year and there is a proposed $30 per year (2.6%) increase. This will make the total fee $1,182 per year.

For part-time students and graduate students the fee is currently $41 and $29 per credit hour, each will have a proposed increase of $1 per credit hour.
