For use in 2017 Student Fee Survey!
The Commons Fee goes towards the maintenance and continuation of five departments housed by the UMBC Commons.
The main purpose for the proposed increase is to create two new jobs in the Commons:
- Diversity Coordinator
- Late night/ Weekend Programming Coordinator
The proposed increase will also accommodate the new minimum wage increase for student employees.
For full-time undergraduates: The fee is currently $624 per year and there is a proposed $32 per year (5.1%) increase. This will make the total fee $656 per year.
For part-time students and graduate students: There is a proposed $1 per credit hour increase, meaning that fee will be $29 per credit hour for part-time undergraduates and $28 per credit hour for graduate students.
